St. Clair County Car Accident Settlement

Posted on Mar 29, 2010

A recent Michigan car accident lawsuit filed in the St. Clair County Circuit Court settled for $350,000.00 The lawsuit alleged that a bridge worker was struck by the Defendant's vehicle while he was in a restricted zone moving traffic cones.  The Plaintiff sustained injuries, including a lateral meniscus tear and a plateau fracture to his left knee.  He suffered advanced post-traumatic arthritis as a result and underwent three surgeries, including a total right knee arthroplasty.

The lawsuit was filed in the St. Clair County Circuit Court and was settled before trial.  The Defendant attempted to argue that the accident victim stepped in front of the Defendant's vehicle, but that defense was not credible.  As a result, the matter was settled.
