Snow Tubing Settlement For Neck & Spinal Injuries

Posted on Sep 12, 2009
A snow tubing accident settlement was recently reached between our injured client and a Northern Michigan ski area lodge that had a snow tubing run.  Our client suffered significant injuries to her neck, back, and spine after tubing down a run and crashing into an unpadded barrier at the end of the run.  The safety device to prevent injury was not properly installed, maintained, or designed.

The lawsuit alleged that the ski lodge was negligent in failing to provide a safe snow tubing run for its customers.  This included the failure to properly maintain the safety devices and the failure to properly design necessary safety features.  The case settled for $250,000 before trial.
