A Michigan motorcycle accident case recently settled for $3 million. The accident occurred when the decedent's motorcycle was involved in a head-on collision with the defendant's car. The motorcycle operator died in the collision and the passenger suffered serious orthopedic injuries. The lawsuit was filed against the owner and operator of the vehicle that caused the accident.
The defendant contended that the biker was intoxicated and was partly at fault for the accident. However, the facts of the accident did not agree with this defense. As a result, the case was subsequently settled before a trial.
