Posted on May 09, 2009
A Iowa jury returned a medical malpractice verdict in excess of $17 million dollars for a girl who has permanent brain damage as a result of medical malpractice.  The girl, now 8 years old, was undergoing a surgery when the surgeon cut several arteries and severed a part of her bowel.  This caused excessive bleeding and permanent brain damage.
