Ann Arbor Truck Accident Lawyer | Ann Arbor Truck Crashes Closes I-94
Posted on Oct 08, 2008 Two semi truck crashes west of Ann Arbor closed down I-94 for most of Tuesday. The first crash involved three semis. A semi truck heading east in Lima Township crossed the grass median and collided with another semi. This second semi, driven by a man from North Adams, south of Jackson, hit a third semi. There was an explosion which severely damaged the first two trucks and killed their drivers. The driver of the third truck was transported to University of Michigan Hospital where he was in stable conditions with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. I-94 was closed in both directions for the morning rush hour and the eastbound lanes remained closed until after 5 p.m. so police could clear the accident and investigate its causes. The eastbound lanes were then closed after being open for little more than an hour because of a second accident, which again involved a semi. No one was injured in this second accident.
