Michigan Attorney Files Dearborn Car Accident Lawsuit – Rotator Cuff Injury
The injured client suffered severe injuries in the car accident. These include aggravations of previous injuries to his spine and back. He also suffered a torn rotator cuff injury to his shoulder, which was verified by an MRI. He was hospitalized for several days in a Dearborn hospital and has undergone extensive physical therapy. He continues to suffer from pain and disability from his accident related injuries.
Rotator cuff injuries from car accidents are very common. The most common symptom of a rotator cuff injury is pain. Many times, it is difficult for a car accident victim to localize the paint to a specific area, and often the patient describes the pain as a generalized discomfort that is exacerbated with specific movements of the shoulder. However, in a complete rotator cuff tear, the injured victim will likely be unable to move the shoulder through some normal motions.
There are two ways a rotator cuff injury can be treated. These include non-surgical treatment, such as physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and cortisone injections, and frequent surgery, such as arthroscopic surgery, mini-open repair surgery, and open repair, performed by an orthopedic surgeon.
The lawsuit was filed in the Wayne County Circuit Court and seeks damages for his pain and suffering, disability, and other personal injuries. The negligent driver’s insurance company is defending the clear liability case. No trial date has been set by the court.
