SMART Bus Accident Lawsuit Filed in Michigan For Inkster Car Accident Injury

Our Michigan car accident lawyers recently filed a bus accident lawsuit for an accident that occurred in Inkster, Michigan.   Our client was the driver of a car that was hit by a SMART bus.  The SMART bus driver took an improper turn and hit the front end of the client’s vehicle while she was at a complete stop at a stop sign.  It is undisputed that the bus driver was at fault for the accident.

Our client suffered multiple serious injuries in the bus accident.  These include injuries to her neck and back and she was diagnosed with herniations at C4-C5 in her neck.  The client has been undergoing epidural injections and physical therapy.  If this type of treatment is not successful, she may require surgery in the future.

The lawsuit seeks damages for the pain and suffering, as well as the disability caused by the accident.  The accident has completely disrupted her life.  To make matters worse, her own  auto insurance company, Liberty Mutual Insurance,  terminated her No-Fault after sending her to an insurance company doctor for an insurance medical exam.  The insurance company owes her No-Fault insurance benefits, including her lost wages and household services.  The lawsuit also includes claims against Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for the wrongful termination of her benefits.

The Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. car accident lawyers filed the lawsuit in the Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan.  It seeks damages for the pain and suffering claims against Smart Bus and the no-fault insurance claims against Liberty Mutual Insurance.  No trial date has been set by the court.
