Our personal injury accident lawyers recently filed a Michigan burn injury lawsuit against McDonalds following an incident where an employee served scalding hot tea at the drive-thru window without properly securing the lid. The hot tea spilled onto our client’s hand causing severe 2nd degree burns. The burn resulted in pain, suffering, and permanent scarring on our client’s left hand and right finger.
Our client must wear a therapeutic glove on her hand for the next 8 months in an attempt to reduce the amount of permanent scarring that occurs. At this time no skin grafting has been recommended. Our client is doing physical therapy to regain full range of motion in her hand.
The lawsuit is filed in the Oakland County Circuit Court. No trial date has been scheduled at this time.
