Nursing Home Abuse Lawsuit Filed For Wrongful Death

Comments (0)
We recently filed a nursing home abuse lawsuit against a Detroit area nursing home on behalf of the family of a resident who died due to neglect.  The patient was hospitalized after taking a serious downturn in his condition.  Upon admission to the hospital, it was discovered that the patient had a Stage 4 bedsore and a major infection.  The resident was also dehydrated, which caused problems with kidney function.  Due to these conditions, the resident subsequently died.

A wrongful death lawsuit was filed against the nursing home for neglecting the resident while in the home.  The suit alleges that the facility and staff failed to properly assess the patient, failed to recognize and care for the pressure sore, and failed to notify physicians that the patient had a serious infection.  No trial date has been set.
