Our Michigan nursing home neglect lawyers recently filed a lawsuit against a Saginaw nursing home on behalf of a patient who suffered serious bed sores while a resident at the nursing home. He was a patient in the home for several weeks after being discharged from a Saginaw Hospital. While in the home, he developed a Stage 3 pressure sore that required surgery. He also suffered an infection and was re-admitted to the hospital for a lengthy period of time.
The suit alleges that the nursing home staff and nursing home doctor were negligent in failing to monitor the patient and institute a plan to prevent the bed sore. This includes turning the patient, bathing the patient, and providing pressure relieving devices. No trial date has been set by the court.
