We recently settled an attendant care service benefit claim against State Farm Insurance Company on behalf of a child who suffered injuries in a Detroit car accident. He was a passenger in a car that was struck on the side by another vehicle. He had pre-existing medical problems due to premature birth, which included the use of a shunt. The accident caused additional injury.
The child's family members cared for him at home after the accident. They made a claim for attendant care services with State Farm and they were denied. Our firm stepped in and filed Michigan no-fault insurance lawsuit against the insurance company in the Wayne County Circuit Court. The case was settled after a mediation.
