Liberty Mutual Insurance Sued For Michigan Car Accident Denial of Benefits

Our Michigan no-fault insurance lawyers recently filed a lawsuit against Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for the improper termination of benefits.  The case arises out of an auto accident in which our client suffered serious injuries after her vehicle was struck by a SMART Bus.  The bus driver made an improper turn and struck her car.

Our client suffered serious injuries in the accident, including several herniated discs in her neck.  She is undergoing steroid injections and physical therapy.  She was insurance by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company at the time of the accident and that company is responsible for paying her no-fault insurance benefits for accident-related injuries.  These benefits include claims for wage loss, household services, and medical expenses.

Liberty Mutual Insurance sent our client for an independent medical examination with Dr. Adil Ali.  As expected, this doctor recommended to the insurance company that benefits be terminated.  The insurance company then terminated all no-fault insurance benefits.  We filed a lawsuit in the Wayne County Circuit Court against Liberty Mutual Insurance Company to compel payment of all unpaid claims.  No trial date has been set by the court.
