A report in today's Detroit Free Press listed the Detroit areas eight highest car accident areas.  They are in each of the tri-county area and all are high traffic areas.  It is hopeful that changes and upgrades in the highway system will reduce the number of car accidents.

*In Waterford, the area on M-59 between Airport Road and Dundee Road due to high traffic.  New traffic signals have been put in to help reduce the number of car accidents.

*In Novi, westbound I-96 at Novie Road and the Novi Road exti ramp has had a high number of car accidents.

In Macomb County, the highest number of car accidents occur at:

*In Clinton Township, on Garfield Road between 19 Mile and Hall Road there are two places that have a high rate of car accidents.

*On Mound Road, between 11 Mile and 12 Mile Road, there are a high number of car accidents because this is a busy area with numerous businesses.
