$100,000 Michigan Pedestrian Accident Settlement – Brain Injury & Spinal Fracture

Comments (1)

Our pedestrian accident injury lawyers in Michigan recently settled a claim against a drunk driver’s insurance company for $100,000.00.  The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the accident after being struck by a drunk driver.  The drunk driver was arrested and sentenced to prison for the accident.

Our client suffered a brain injury in the accident as well spinal fractures and a fractured arm.  He required lengthy hospitalization for the injuries.  He has not fully recovered.

We filed a lawsuit in the Wayne County Circuit Court located in Detroit, Michigan.  We fully investigated a potential claim against any establishment that served the drunk driver with alcohol before the accident, but evidence did not support a Dram Shop claim.  The insurance company for the drunk driver paid the settlement.  The injured pedestrian’s medical bills and other expenses were paid under a separate insurance policy.

This is very unfortunate. The drunk driver deserves the life in prison sentence. Thoughts and prayers go out to the victims family.
