Zug Island Gas Explosion Death; U.S. Steel explosion
Posted on Jan 06, 2008Investigators are looking into the cause of a gas explosion at the Zug Island, Michigan U.S. Steel Great Lakes Work Plant that killed one worker and injured four others yesterday. The explosion caused a fire and was responded to by fire departments from Detroit, River Rouge, and Ecorse.
Depending on the cause of the explosion, the injured workers could file a Michigan workman's compensation case for their injuries. They may also be able to file suit against another company for money damages to compensate them for their injuries. The family of the deceased worker can also file a workman's compensation case and most likely a Michigan Wrongful Death case. They should contact a gas explosion lawyer to investigate the case and their rights as soon as possible.
