Man Blinded Due to Medical Malpractice Receives Jury Award

A man who was left blind after surgery for a broken leg received a $1.75 million dollar jury verdict. He filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against the emergency room surgeon who performed the surgery for his leg. Due to blood loss, he was deprived of oxygen which caused his blindness. He argued that the doctor failed to give him blood to stabilize his condition.
