Independent Living Neglect Lawsuit Filed

The family of the sister of boxer Joe Louis has filed a federal lawsuit against a Southfield Assisted Living Facility.  The 92 year old patient and former resident wandered away from the home and died.  The suit alleges that the facility was negligent in her supervision and failed to have alarms on the emergency exits to warn staff of the incident.
