The city of Hartford will get a new railroad crossing gate at the Center Street railroad tracks. The crossing gate, which will be installed by the end of next year on the West Michigan Railroad Company's track crossing Center Street near Hartford High School and Hartford Middle School, is aimed at eliminating the risk of car accidents along the crossing. There have been three accidents there in the last five years.
