A Montreal family has been awarded $3.7 million by a Quebec court
after their nine-year-old boy was seriously injured during a group ski
lesson in 2003. The judge entered the award against the Mont Olympia ski school and its owner. He determined that the accident was caused by the lack of supervision by the 17 year old instructor who did not properly observe the nine new skiers in his class. The young boy suffered serious brain damage.
