Ann Arbor Road Car Accident Trial

A car accident that occurred on Ann Arbor Road in Jackson County last year is going to trial on criminal charges against the driver that caused the accident. The Defendant, David Ray Smith, is accused of speeding through a construction zone and recklessly causing an accident which killed a Foot Hospital employee. She was a mother, step-mother, and grandmother. The accident reconstruction of the case shows that Smith was travelling at 57 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone.
