Sec. 18-34. Responsibility for damages.
Every owner of a dog shall be liable for damages for any and all injuries to person or property caused by such dog, to be determined and collected in appropriate civil proceedings. Nothing in this article shall be construed to impose any liability upon the city, its agents or employees, for damages caused by such dog.

Sec. 18-36. Vicious dogs prohibited.
No person shall own or harbor a fierce or vicious dog, or a dog that has been bitten by any animal known to have been afflicted with rabies. All dogs found to be vicious and all rabid dogs shall be destroyed, unless otherwise disposed of by the owner thereof.
