Our Detroit car accident lawyers recently filed a motor vehicle accident lawsuit for a client in the Wayne County Circuit Court. The case arises out of an auto accident that occurred in the city of Hamtramck. On September 28, 2009, the client came home from school at Wayne County Community College. She had just parked in front of their home and was still in the vehicle. Another driver reversed his car, going the wrong way on a one way street, and struck the driver's side fender and bumper of her car. There was significant damage around the driver's side front wheel and her vehicle was totaled in the accident.
The client suffered serious injuries to her neck and back, including bulging disc injuries. She has been receiving treatment since the date of the accident and her doctor has disabled her from performing replacement household services, which her no-fault carrier continues to pay to date. A jury demand has been filed. No trial has been set by the court.
