Paw Paw Car Accident | Western Michigan Car Accident Lawyers

A Paw Paw car accident has resulted in the death of a Kalamazoo man.  Jaamal Burton, 29, of Kalamazoo was killed in a car accident near 68th Street and County Road 384 in Geneva Township.  The accident occurred on March 28, 2009 at about 2:00 a.m. when Jaamal Burton's car went off the road and hit an embarkment.  His passenger was also seriously injured.  Neither man was wearing a seat belt.

I am very sorry this accident happened.  I want to express my sympathies to the family of Jaamal Burton.  I also hope that the passenger is able to recovery quickly and completely from his injuries.

When the accident is a single-vehicle accident, the family of the deceased can still submit a claim for Michigan No Fault survivor loss benefits.  Survivor loss benefits will provide money for part of the funeral and payments for loss of financial support.

The passenger can also submit a claim for No Fault benefits.  This claim will likely include his medical expenses and lost wages.  It may also include other benefits depending on the severity of his injuries.

The passenger may also be able to file a lawsuit against the estate of the driver.  This would depend on how severe his injuries are and on all the other facts and circumstances of the accident.  He or a family member should contact a Michigan car accident lawyer to discuss the accident.
Jaamal was my uncle and I miss him so much but he is in a better place.
