Ohio Woman Wins Michigan Car Accident Arbitration Award
We recently obtained an arbitration award in the amount of $370,000 against Nationwide Insurance Company for an Ohio woman who suffered very serious orthopedic injuries, including leg fractures, in a car accident while travelling on US-23 near Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was injured when another vehicle crossed over the highway centerline and struck her vehicle head on. She suffered an open reduction fracture of her left leg which required surgery. She also suffered rib fractures and ankle injuries. She will most likely require a knee replacement in the future.
The driver that caused the accident had only a $20,000 auto liability insurance policy. His insurance company paid those limits to our client, but this was clearly not enough compensation for her serious injuries.
