I was riding my motorcycle in Detroit when a tractor-trailer truck forced me to roll into an oncoming lane of traffic. I contacted the law firm after researching the internet for a Michigan medical malpractice lawyer. My mother died during surgery at a Lansing hospital. Oakland County Truck Accident Lawyers

A Farmington Hills truck accident has resulted in the death of a pedestrian.  Zbigniew Adamski was hit by a tractor trailer while crossing the street at 9 Mile Road and Halsted in Farmington Hills on March 26, 2009.  He was taken to Botsford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  Police had difficulty identifying Zbigniew Adamski because he was not carrying any identification when the accident happened.  Their investigation is still on-going.

I am very sorry this accident occurred.  I want to express my sympathies to the Adamski family.

Although it is always hard to lose a loved one, Michigan's No Fault Act helps families cope with their loss by provding generous No Fault survivor loss benefits.  Survivor loss benefits, which are available through your car insurance, provide a payment for a portion of the funeral cost as well as payments for loss of financial support and loss of household services for up to three years following the accident.  The first thing any family who has lost a loved one in a car or truck accident like this one is submit a claim for No Fault survivor loss benefits.

The family may also be able to sue the driver of the tractor trailer or his company for wrongful death.  This lawsuit would require the family to prove the driver of the truck was negligent in someway and that his negligence caused the accident.  An experienced Michigan truck accident lawyer can help evaluate a possible lawsuit.
