Motorcycle Accidents With Trucks

Comments (0)
Michigan bikers have been waiting for months for the weather to warm and the snow to melt so that they can polish their motorcycles and take to the Michigan streets and highways.  As lawyers representing bikers in Michigan motorcycle accident cases, we often see serious injuries caused by truck drivers who ignore the rights of bikers.  Of course, this is not intentional but often rather the failure to appreciate the fact that bikers are on the road and in their blindspots.

When motorcycles and trucks collide, the results are usually catastrophic for the biker.  In many of our cases, there may not even be actual contact between the truck and the bike, but rather the biker is injured when trying to take evasive actions to avoid the contact with the truck.  This can mean rolling the bike or even leaving the roadway to avoid contact.  Even in those types of cases, the truck driver and trucking company can be held liable for the biker's injuries.  It is essential that the attorney handling the case immediately track down witnesses to prove the biker's version of the accident.
