Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit Against State Farm For No-Fault Benefits

Comments (0)

The Buckfire Law attorneys recently filed a motorcycle accident lawsuit against State Farm for failure to pay medical expenses and related benefits under the Michigan No-Fault Act. Our client, Teresa Mott was riding her motorcycle in St. Joseph County, along W Main Street in Mendon Township, when she was rear-ended by a motor vehicle.  Due to the crash, Teresa was ejected from her motorcycle. She suffered serious injuries, including a sprained back and abrasions and contusions.

No-fault insurance benefits are benefits you are entitled to receive under Michigan law, regardless of fault, if you were injured in a motorcycle accident that arose out of the ownership, operation, maintenance or use of an automobile as an automobile, such as a car or truck. The primary prerequisite is that the motorcycle accident must "involve" an automobile, such as a car or truck, as the No-Fault insurance benefits generally come from a Michigan automobile insurance policy. These benefits include wage loss benefits, for the first three years after the accident, assistance with household chores for the first three years after the accident, unlimited lifetime medical expense coverage, mileage to and from doctor appointments, attendant care and other benefits such as home and vehicle modifications.

Many of times an insurance company will either deny, terminate, or cut off an injured motorcycle victims no-fault insurance benefits. When this happens, it is recommended to contact an attorney immediately to discuss your case. There are strict time limitations under the Michigan law so waiting too long to file a lawsuit against the insurance company could mean the difference between getting your benefits paid and not paid.

Call our office now at (800) 606-1717 if you have been a victim of a Michigan motorcycle accident that involved another motor vehicle, and the insurance company is failing to pay the no-fault benefits you are entitled to. We will discuss your case with you and represent you under our no fee promise, meaning you do not pay any legal fees until we win or settle your case.
