Michigan Child Abuse Lawyers Discuss Abuse & Neglect Lawsuits

Comments (0)
Our Michigan child abuse and neglect lawyers have recently added a number of articles on child abuse lawsuits in Michigan to the Michigan Child Injury Lawyer web site.  Others are scheduled to be posted over the next several weeks.  The articles discuss topics ranging from lawsuits for abused children to the reporting requirements of professionals who either know of abuse or should suspect abuse.  Articles also provide things to look for when child abuse is suspected.

Child abuse victims do have legal rights against not only their abuser, but also against mandatory reporters (like teachers, doctors, counselors) who fail to report suspected abuse.  When a mandatory reporter fails to notify authorities, a child will often suffer additional abuse that could have been prevented.  The child can seek compensation in a civil lawsuit for these additional injuries and abuse.
