Our Michigan car accident lawyers recently settled a claim for underinsurance motorists benefits for our client's pain and suffering due to the Michigan accident. Our client experienced lumbar injuries, including disc bulges and had to be off work for two and a half years.
The insurance company for the negligent driver paid its full insurance policy of $20,000. We then filed a claim against our client's own insurance company under the underinsurance motorist benefit provision in our client's policy and were able to settle that claim for additional settlement money.
The lawsuit was filed in the Wayne County Circuit court and a trail has been set for May 17, 2010.
