Our Michigan medical malpractice lawyers recently filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against Crittendon Hospital in Rochester, Michigan. The suit was filed on behalf of an elderly woman who was a patient at the hospital and was admitted for a cardiac procedure. While in bed, she was served a boiling hot beverage in a cup without a lid. The content of the cup spilled onto her lap and groin, causing a severe liquid burn injury. She underwent additional medical treatment due to her burn injury.
The suit was filed in the Oakland County Circuit Court. The lawsuit seeks damages for her pain and suffering and disfigurement, as well as additional medical expenses incurred as a result of the burn injury. No trial date has been set by the court.
