Hospital Fall Injury Lawsuit Filed - Lapeer County Malpractice Attorney

Our Michigan medical malpractice lawyers recently filed a lawsuit against a Lapeer County hospital on behalf of an elderly patient.  The patient underwent an outpatient procedure under a spinal anesthesia.  He was taken to the post-anesthesia recovery unit after the procedure for monitoring and recovery.  He was advised to get dressed by himself by the nursing staff, despite having a lack of sensation and feeling in his legs due to the continuing effects of the anesthesia.  As a result, he fell and suffered serious orthopedic injuries which required multiple surgeries.  

The medical malpractice lawsuit was filed in the Lapeer County Circuit Court.  It seeks damages for the personal injuries as well as reimbursement of the significant medical expenses relating to the accident.  No trial date has been set by the court.
