Holland Township Car Accident | Failure To Yield

Comments (0)

Our Michigan car accident attorneys are reporting a Holland Township car accident that took place at Butternut Drive near Rose Park Drive around 8 p.m. Saturday, November 12. According to police, Leon Weathers, was driving out of the Leisure Village Mobile Home Park when he failed to yield to the northbound driver, Candelario Trejo. Trejo struck Weather's vehicle in the driver's side, trapping him inside. Both drivers were taken to the hospital and suffer serious injuries. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in this car accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident. I hope all injured victims in this crash have a fast recovery without any permanent damages.

Our Michigan car accident attorneys advise victims of their legal rights. The injured victims may be able to submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured individual can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy and even if they are determined to be at fault.

In addition, one of the injured drivers may also have claims for personal injuries against the driver determined to be at fault in this accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victim(s) can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.

Also, if alcohol is considered to be factor of the negligent driver's behavior, another possible claim for the injured victim may be a Michigan dram shop case against the seller or furnisher of the alcohol before the accident. At the very least, they should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.
