Fatal Icy I-75 at Sashabaw Car Accident Kills Driver

Comments (0)

Our fatal auto accident attorneys in Michigan are reporting a deadly crash that took place this morning on I-75 North just past Sashabaw Road.  According to police, a driver driving a gray sedan lost control of his vehicle due to the icy road conditions and crashed into a guardrail on the expressway.  The driver was killed at the scene.

We are very sorry to hear about this fatal accident and our condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim.

According to, there were approximately 477 deaths due to icy roads in the U.S. during the 2008-2009 winter seasons.  Out of the 477 deaths, 18 victims died on icy roads in Michigan.  Winter roads can be hazardous, so if weather conditions are dangerous we recommend that you do not drive if you do not have to.  Conditions like snowstorm whiteouts, which obstruct visibility, and “black ice” makes the roads and driving very dangerous and unpredictable.

At the law firm of Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. our Michigan fatal auto accident attorneys advise victims and their families of their legal rights.  For this particular single vehicle crash, the family members of the deceased victim may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits.  This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.  At the very least, family members should contact the best possible car accident lawyers to discuss their legal rights.
