The FDA issued recall a
Dole salad products recall due to an association with possible
e-coli outbreaks. Eleven illness related to these products have been reported with two hospitalizations, all in Minnesota. E-coli can cause significant illness, including severe bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps; sometimes the infection causes non-bloody diarrhea. It has also been known to cause permanent kidney damage. Persons infected with the bacteria from the Dole product have a legal right to be compensated for their injuries.
