Our Detroit car accident lawyers recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a client who suffered serious injuries when another car rear ended her at a stop light. The negligent driver was apparently texting on his cell phone when he crashed into our client's car. Our client suffered serious injuries, including a herniated disc in her lower back that has caused nerve damage. She underwent laminectomy surgery in February 2010.
We filed a lawsuit against our client's own insurance company, Dairyland Insurance because the at fault driver was uninsured at the time of the crash. The lawsuit against Dairyland Insurance seeks payment under the uninsured motorist provision of the policy.
The suit was filed in the Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan. No trial date has been set for the case.
