Detroit truck-auto accident that took place on M-39. The accident took place on Friday, October 22nd around 2:30 p.m. According to police, the axle of a gas tanker traveling south on M-39 broke, detaching dual affixed tires. The tires that detached hit a semi-truck, flying off the semi, bouncing over the median and strking another vehicle driving in the opposite direction. The driver of the vehicle, Ashley Thomas, a U of M student, was killed due to the accident.
