The Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. car accident lawyers recently filed a car accident lawsuit in the Macomb County Circuit Court on behalf of our client who hit by a negligent driver at the intersection of 29 Mile Road and Van Dyke Road in Washington Township, Michigan. Our client suffered serious injuries in the intersection car accident, including injuries to both legs and an ankle injury. Surgery was required for both the leg injuries as well as the ankle injury. In addition, our client was hospitalized for period of time due to recovery from the surgeries.
His injuries also required him to move into the home of a relative as he was confined to a wheelchair. His family members provided him with attendant care services during his period of recovery, and he continues to attend physical therapy to improve his ability to walk after his surgeries.
The negligent driver was a 19-year-lold woman. The accident was caused due to the negligent driver’s failure to stop at a flashing red light, hitting our client’s vehicle. The car accident lawsuit seeks damages the pain and suffering, disability, and other non-economic losses suffered to our client due to the accident related injuries. Geico Insurance Company is currently paying our clients no-fault insurance benefits. It is expected that the other driver’s insurance company, State Farm Insurance, will pay the settlement in this case. No trial date has been set by the court.
