Car Accident Lawsuit in Michigan Settles for $100,000

Our car accident lawyers in Michigan recently settled an auto accident injury lawsuit for $100,000.  Our client was injured in a two vehicle car crash in Michigan.  He was driving his own car at the time of the rear-end  accident.

Prior to the accident, the injured client was a transmission mechanic with no prior back or neck injury.  He was earning approximately $30,000 per year.  Due to the injuries suffered in the accident, he is unable to return to work and has been awarded social security disability benefits.

The defendant driver was insured for liability coverage by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.  The insurance company refused to pay for the personal injury claim and we filed a lawsuit in the Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan.  Attorney George Burke in our office then demanded that the insurance company pay the policy limits of $100,000 to our client to settle the case.  After taking depositions and conducting other discovery, we were able to establish that the defendant was in fact responsible for causing the accident.  The insurance company then agreed to settle the case for $100,000.
