Boaters in Michigan are heading into prime Michigan boating season. With the July 4th holiday quickly approaching, the Michigan lakes, rivers, and ponds will be full of boaters. Other deaths were mainly due to boat operator negligence.
Boat operators and owners need to take all necessary precautions to protect their own safety and the safety of other boaters, jet skiers, and swimmers. They also need to protect guests and passengers on their own boats who may not be aware of the substantial risks posed by boating and drowining accidents.
